CORPORATE GOAL
Dura Plastics (1977) Ltd. commenced operations in 1959. The goal of the Dura Group is to increase customer satisfaction and to broaden support. In view of this, Dura has established the principal of having at least a second individual familiar with some corporate, management or production task. This enables the companies to continue functioning on all basis should someone be absent.

THE DURA GROUP
The Dura Group consists of two operating companies, DURA PLASTICS (1977) LTD. hereafter called DURA PLASTICS, and DURA TEXTILES LTD. hereafter called DURA TEXTILES.
DURA PLASTICS is comprised of a warehousing and distribution company, and a PLASTICS RECYCLING DIVISION, while DURA TEXTILES is the converting company.
DURA PLASTICS was founded in 1959 and commenced operations that year. DURA TEXTILES was established in 1979 and commenced operations at that time.
PLASTICS WAREHOUSING, DISTRIBUTION DIVISION, and DURA TEXTILES moved to the groups own building which was purchased in February 1995 in order to consolidate operations and increase efficiencies.
DURA PLASTICS warehouses polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyurethane (PU), ring metal, mechanisms and hardware, metal accessories for the stationary trade, and paper products for lamination.
The PVC line includes calendared film in both rigid and flexible, as well as calendared, extruded and cast expanded supported and unsupported, and coated supported products. The products range from .002 gauge to 160 gauge and up to eighty-four (84) inches wide. The products are sold to a variety of industries including heat sealers, bookbinders, tent and awning manufacturers, sign manufacturers, silkscreeners, furniture manufacturers and upholsterers, marine boat manufacturers and the marine industry, blister and vacuum forming industries, etc.
PLASTICS PRIMARY CONVERTING equipment includes one sixty (60) inch face embossing machine with a library of thirty-one (31) embossing rollers, and one seventy-six (76) face multiply laminating embossing machine with an additional five (5) embossing rollers.
PLASTICS SECONDARY CONVERTING equipment includes two (2) re rollers, one (1) powdering machine, one sixty (60) inch Judelsohn razor-blade slitter with a two thousand pound capacity, one sixty (60) inch slitter duplex take-off, and two (2) computerized sixty (60) inch sheeter-slitters.
TEXTILES MACHINERY includes two (2) electronic quilting machines with a library of fifty-six (56) quilting-embossing plates, two (2) Judelsohn balony knive slitters, one (1) Cameron razor-blade-sheer-score duplex take-off slitter-rewinder, one (1) guillotine, one (1) leather/composite splitter, two (2) leather/composite skivers, six (6) heated binding machines, two (2) cementing machines, two (2) twelve (12) inch sheeter/slitter/strip-cutters, one sixty (60) inch beam press, one (1) clicker, one (1) sixty (60) inch surface rewinder, numerous rewinders of different widths, numerous narrow-width slitters-rewinders.
Plastic Extrusion machinery includes two 3 inch extruder line and one 1 inch extruder line, as well as various secondary processing machinery with an in-house machine shop. Dura produces many of its own dies.

Founded in 1959, Dura Plastics (1977) Ltd. has grown into a vertically integrated plastic distributor and converter in Canada.
The company has a diversified inventory of products and services as follows:
- Plastic Vinyl in Rolls for Industrial and Consumer use.
- Plastic packaged Tablecloths and Plastic Tablecloth material in rolls.
- Placemats
- Soft Clears for table coverings, windows, marine boat tops, and café enclosures.

EXTRUSION DIVISION
Dura Plastics purchased the extrusion operations of GINN BROS. LTD. on February 1, 2000 which had been operating since 1944.
The primary manufacturing lines are as follows:
- Two three (3) inch Extruder Lines
- One two and one half (2 2) inch Extruder Line
- One one (1) inch Extruder Line
The company processes PVC, Olefin, POLYETHYLENE, POLYPROPYLENE and Nylon
The profile extrusions are varied and have both industrial and consumer use. Some examples are: Furniture Strapping, Weed Eater Cording, Pipings, Brade Linings, etc.
